Public Relations

Public relations we can define as the practice of managing our communication between an organization and its publics.
Public relations can play a critical role in achieving a competitive advantage by, for ex. opening new markets, giving more access to funding and investors, creating a high value for products, protecting businesses in times of crisis etc.
All organizations benefit from public relations.
The main goal of public relations is to enhance a company's reputation.

Here is one very good video about importance of public relations

Marketing and Advertising

Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, distribution and promotion of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy the perceived needs, wants and objectives of individuals and organization.

Advertising is the structures and composed non-personal communication of information, usually paid for and usually persuasive in nature, about products by identified sponsors through various media.

So, marketing is as a pie, inside that pie you have slices of advertising, market research, media planning, public relations, sales strategy etc and advertising have only one piece of the pie.

Marketing vs Advertising

Let's visit Disneyland !!!!

Dear colleagues,

Look at this video, it's amazing !!

My Informative Speech

Before presenting I was really scared and maybe shy of what I am going to do on my presentation but while presenting I was feeling very good, because of you and your attention. You made me feel powerful, my dear colleagues. So..Thank You!

                                     Disneyland

Disneyland is a large, bustling place filled with colorful attractions where people can go and have fun.

The design of Disneyland was something never done before.

The concept for Disneyland began when Walt Disney was visiting Griffith Park in Los Angelos with his daughters Diane and Sharon.
While watching them, ride the merry-go-round, he came up with the idea of a place where adults and their children could go and have fun together.

In 1923 Walt Disney and his brother Roy formed Walt Disney Studios.
In 1953 he needed space to build rivers, waterfalls, and mountains to make a magic kingdom he called "Disneyland."

Construction for Disneyland began on July 21, 1954 and Disneyland Park was opened to the public on July 18, 1995.

The most amazing thing that happened at Disneyland in the first 3 months was when the 1 million guests were walking through the gates. That was in September 8th, 1955.

The more Walt dreamed of a "magical park", the more imaginative and elaborate it became.

       Mission of Disneyland

The mission of Disneyland is just  To make people happy
"Disneyland is a work of love. We didn't go into Disneyland just with the idea of making money." - Walt Disney

Where are the 5 Disneyland locations?

1)     The original Disneyland is located in Anaheim, California, USA.
2)     Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, USA - opened in 1971.
3)     Disneyland Resort Paris - France - opened in 1992.
4)     Tokyo Disney Resort - Opened in 1983.
5)     Hong Kong Disneyland Resort - Opened in 2005.

    When to visit Disneyland ?
Disneyland  is open 365 days a year. Any time of year can be a good time to visit Disneyland depending on what type of experience you are looking for. Summer is high season, so you have to cope with crowds. In November and December it gets dark early, and there is a chance of rain. So better go and visit Disneyland in summer.

     Characters

There are too many characters in Disneyland. Many of them can be found throughout the park, greeting visitors, interacting with children, and posing for photos.
Some of Disneyland characters that most of people know and like are:

Aladdin
 Cinderella
 Mickey and Minnie
Peter Pan
Snow White
Winnie the Pooh etc

"You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream reality" - Walt Disney

Disneyland Park has attracted millions of visitors since it first opened its doors more than 50 years ago. When you enter Disneyland, the cares and worries of the day are left behind. . Disneyland Park is a seamless blend of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Laughter is always in the air, with friendly smiles all around.

Even though Walt Disney was not able to see how his park and his company prospered and grew into the 21st Century, his legacy still lives on with us. Throughout Disneyland and throughout the entire world, he will always be there.

The secret of Disneyland is ability to change yet. As Walt Disney said :

"Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."

Non-Verbal Communication

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfDWQG47pAQ -  Firstly look at this video.

Nonverbal communication is a vital form of communication and it's very important. Non-verbal communication is not just body language, gestures or facial, it also includes eye contact, touch, spatial distance between two or more people or positioning within a group, body movements, smell, tone of voice and even silence. You also need to be aware of the signals you are sending off, so you can be sure that the messages you are sending are what you really want to communicate. You have to know that only 7% of information is sent through words the remaining 93 % of communication is non- verbal.

Verbal Communication

Verbal communication is one way for people to communicate face-to-face.
Verbal communication refers to the content of message, the choice and arrangement of our words.   The key components of verbal communication are sounds, words, speaking, and language. If you want to have a good verbal communication you have to pay attention to the words and feelings that are being expressed, use reflective listening, understand message and help the speaker tell his story.

Introduction!

Hello colleagues !

Firstly I want to tell you that when I heard a word blog I got a little angry, maybe it was because we had some elementary experiences with blogs in one subject before and I didn't liked it too much. It was difficult and boring because we had to design it, to post every time and then finally we had to present it. Even that I had presented it very good I didn't like it and I don't want to work with it. I don't know why this happens to me, but I'm always bored and angry when I work with it. Even though I don't like it, I will be able to work with it in the best way I can!

Sincerely,
Zeki
